Matadors to be Sponsored by Easton!

The Cal State Northridge Matadors have come to a sponsorship agreement with Easton Hockey. The Matadors will be wearing Easton helmets, gloves, practice jerseys, hockey bags and other apparel.

Team President JP Gale was thrilled when the deal was finally settled, "Easton and Cal. State Northridge have some very strong ties, the aluminum hockey stick was invented by a Northridge hockey alumni in 1972. There are also a few engineers at Easton that are alumni, along with former CEO Tony Palma. We're really happy this deal was reached and we're very thankful to Easton for their support."

Bryan Kaye from Easton Hockey, who helped make the deal happen had this to say, "This is a great up and coming collegiate program and we're really happy we were able to support them. From here on out Northridge is an Easton school."

Voya Zlatanovic Fourth Commitment of the Year

The Matadors are proud to welcome winger Voya Zlatanovic as their fourth commitment of the year. Voya comes to Northridge via Serbia and Cloquet, Minnesota.

Voya was previously a rugged forward for Cloquet High. He posted 26 PTS 14G/12A in 25 games in his last season, along with 40 PIMS. The deceptively quick Serbian was a key player in getting the team to the High School AA State Championships in the 07-08 season. He was also a member of the 2008 Serbian National team at the IIHF 18U tournament. He posted 1G and 1A in 4 games with a plus 3 rating.

Voya is excited to make the move out to Northridge and start on the road to attaining a degree in Political Science. Standing 6'0" and weighing in at 170 lbs, Voya will bring size, toughness and a great scoring touch to the Matador lineup.
