Matadors Win Big in Home Opening Weekend |

The Cal. State Northridge Matadors came out Friday night with something to prove against the Loyola Marymount Lions. The Lions were coming off a huge comeback win Thursday night against UCLA, but that momentum could not be carried into Friday's game as the Matadors blitzed the Lions with 4 goals in the first period. |

Northridge Learns Hard Lessons in Game 1 |

Northridge learned what it is going to take to be a contender in Friday night's game against COC. The Cougars out shot and out hustled the Matadors for most of the game. Inexperience and nerves saw the Matadors take two penalties in the opening period and gave the Cougars the opportunity to apply pressure. |
