The Cal. State Northridge Matadors traveled to Las Vegas this past weekend for the ACHA Division III Pacific Regional Tournament. The Matadors needed two victories to get to their goal of reaching the National Championship and with wins over South Dakota State University and Iowa State University the Matadors achieved that goal.

Northridge took on South Dakota State Friday afternoon and rolled passed the Ice Jacks 8-4. Saturday the Matadors faced Iowa State University, who had upset the #4 seed Nebraska Friday morning. In one of the most back and forth games of the year, Northridge took the victory 7-6. Iowa State showed tremendous class after the game and proved they should have been ranked much higher in the final Pacific rankings.

The Matadors will travel to Fort Myers, Florida March 10-14 and will face the Central Florida Knights, the Cal. U Pennsylvania Vulcans and Lansing Community College in pool play. The Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles will be hosting the tournament and will be updating scores daily.
