The Cal. State Northridge Matadors bounced back from their defeat to CSU Fullerton with a thumping of UC Davis Saturday night.
The Gale brothers led the way in scoring with leading scorer Chris Gale netting five goals, followed by defenseman JP Gale with a hat trick of his own. Anthony Kendryna finished the game with a goal and a double playmaker, followed by Jack Avetissian with a goal and five assists. Igor Kirzhener and Anthony Annese both lit the lamp and Big Tom Duma had two assists in his return the the Matador lineup. Northridge net minder Ron Dierkes turned away 32 shots and led the Matadors to their 16th win of the season. This Friday the Matadors will take on the University of Colorado at 8:55 pm at the Valley Ice Center. Colorado and Northridge have been neck and neck in the rankings all season and are both looking to solidify a spot in the National tournament. With the regular season winding down this will be the most important game of the Matadors' season to date, don't miss it! |
