In one of the more heated games of the season, the Cal. State Northridge Matadors handily defeated the Cal. State Fullerton Titans 8-2. The Matadors came out hard and never backed off the gas pedal. Anthony Kendryna led the way in scoring with 3 goals, Josh Fields had 2 tallies, Jack Avetissian, Voya Zlatanovic and a late bomb from Cody Russel rounded out the Matadors scoring. Matadors leading scorer Chris Gale and Captain JP Gale both registered playmakers on the night. Fullerton's two goals came from Big Blake Dorman and Jake Daniel.

Fullerton had no answer to Northridge's speed and stingy defense. Matadors goalie Ron Dierkes bested Titan Alex Miller turning aside 31 of 33 shots to Miller's 34 of 42. The Matadors will be traveling up north today for a mid day clash with rival Fresno State. Check back Sunday for updates and details on the game.
